This video represents the learning outcome of how messages were created appropriately to a target audience. In this case, the target audience was for gamers to warn them of the outcomes of what gamer rage can do to them as a person, how others can view them, and the possible personality changes. This video was created in Spring 2021 because learning different ways on how to communicate a message was my main focus and this taught me new skills that would help me further.

This food blog represents the messages of how food and other messages are spread across different platforms. The target audience intended for the blog is people that enjoy to see posts about food, history of the dishes, and where all of the regions around Italy can change the dish. This blog is an example of creating relevant information to spread in a creative way, communication to the audience in a different way. I created this blog in the spring semester of 2021 because I wanted to see what my skillset capabilities were at in that time.

This social media account was made for the intention of giving information about the history of women in broadcasting. The target audience being the general public to spread more awareness on how far women in the television industry have gotten thanks to the women that have paved the way. The learning outcome is how effective the form of communication is to get to the target audience it needed to and more. I created this social media account in Spring 2021 because I wanted to spread awareness, but in a more accessible platform.
This podcast skit was made for the purpose of using a different channel of communication to adapt to the needs of a situation being that more people are enjoying podcasts now. This podcast skit was made to target 30-40 year olds because they seem to enjoy cooking shows more than younger generations. This was created while studying abroad in Florence, Italy in Spring 2022 and we created it as a group project because of wanting to create something new for our classmates to listen to.
This poster on partner acceptance enabled me to identify meanings in messages by using interpersonal communication to figure out what hidden messages partners could try to be communicating to each other was a topic of interest. After reading more on it, I was able to recognize these messages and effectively include them to make others in relationships aware. I was able to identify, interpret, evaluate, apply and take part in social scientific research methods in a different format that’s easier for the audience to understand. Taking the social scientific route and flipping it to explaining facts about these scenarios made more sense in the sake of how to spread this message for the targeted audience to understand. My target audience for this project was anyone in a relationship. I made this poster in Fall 2021 with the intent of spreading awareness for myself, but for others in relationships.
This poster on Child Protective Services was made for the intended audience of anyone that wants to adopt, of minority that wants to adopt, and anyone that has been in the system because there isn’t much awareness that I’ve seen for it and I personally wanted to learn more about how the system works especially with minorities. This project was made in Fall 2021 with the intention of recognizing messages and the influence of them and this poster helped with that, identifying messages within these relationships. Trying to identify these messages was hard at first, but after making this poster to try and spread awareness, the messages made themselves clear.
Also demonstrating that I was able to identify, interpret, evaluate, apply and take part in communication research because the poster relies on social scientific research methods in a format that’s easier for the general public to break down.
This commercial to “Visit Sicily” was made during study abroad in Florence, Italy of Spring 2022 with the targeted audience was for anyone interested to visit Sicily. The goal for this commercial was to spread the message to visit the beautiful beaches, cities, and volcanoes. Sicily is as rich in history as any country, but special to me because my family originates from there. Not only was I able to identify messages within this commercial, but in order to find them, paying attention to every detail in the commercial is important. “Visit Sicily” also serves as another learning objective by communicating a message in a creative way that adapts to the audience and situation when presented.
Scooby-Doo Chasing Postmodernism presents the learning outcome of being able to identify, interpret, evaluate, apply and take part in communication research because this focuses heavily on taking part in critical research methods. This essay is meant to target those that are interested in reading about how childhood TV shows can have deep overlap with other TV shows and media making it something new while nodding to something old or relevant outside of their universe. I wrote this essay Fall 2022 and I really enjoyed finding correlations between this movie and other media that was featured in it. After seeing how much Postmodernism was included in this movie, I started to realize it more in other forms of media, making me think about how postmodernism is so important to our society today.
Gossip Girl presents millennial postfeminist culture by connecting it with transmedia storytelling. The show focuses on female empowerment all while using devices in the show that help move the storyline along. Without the added technology, the female empowerment message wouldn’t be as strongly enforced as it is now. Being able to identify, interpret, evaluate, apply, and take part of this communication research is through critical analysis. Viewing the media at a different angle than in social scientific research since it’s more so focused on what these messages mean rather than running an experiment on it. The target audience for this presentation was my fellow classmates and professor. I made this presentation in Fall 2022 in hopes of spreading the message of how cultures are represented in modern media.
Experiences with Social Media Influencers A Replication Study presents the learning outcome of being able to identify, interpret, evaluate, apply, and take part in scientific research because this focuses heavily on taking part in social science research methods. This presentation is meant to summarize the statistics gathered from a survey qualified participants weighed in on. This targeted those who have social media accounts and how easily the influencers on these platforms shape the user’s decisions from said content. This replication study was conducted in Spring 2023 and I enjoyed finding correlations between the users and their influencer’s ability to influence them. After seeing correlations in different categories, I started to realize which statement was supported in this replication study compared to the original, leading me to become more aware of the marketing tactics that these influencers use on my social media platforms.
